Discover Windscape Brooklyn
Where the power of wind meets the power of people and the landscapes we depend onAs New York’s first learning center focused on offshore wind education, WindScape Brooklyn’s exhibits and programming introduce the wonder of offshore wind in an interactive and immersive experience for visitors of all ages.
We are located in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood, the home for New York City’s working waterfront, and offer no-cost space reservations for community groups, public event programing, and industry workforce development resources.
Explore WindScape Brooklyn
Offshore wind entails more than turbines and blades. Its development, construction, and social impact involves “hyper-collaboration” between people, technologies, and the ecologies in which it is situated.
WindScape Brooklyn provides New York’s epicenter for educating the public about the offshore wind industry. What is offshore wind? How is wind converted into electricity? Why is offshore wind important? The learning center answers these and other questions. It also provides an incubator for workforce development and future research.
Exhibits at the center include:

WindScape Partners
True to the hyper-collaborative nature of offshore wind, WindScape Brooklyn was designed and programmed in collaboration with community, city, and state partners through a design committee.
The committee launched in 2024 and meets quarterly. Committee members have helped to articulate the themes explored in the center, provide input on the look and feel of the center as well as the exhibit content, programming, and hours of operation. Members come from a diverse set of background and expertise.
