Join us at WindScape Brooklyn for family fun and experiential learning! Just outside our window at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, offshore wind is reshaping our waterfront. Our learning center unpacks the science behind wind turbine technology, and unveils the history of wind energy and advocacy here in Sunset Park. We’re excited to invite families, and children of all ages, to come learn with your hands, lead with your curiosity, and take in the views at WindScape Brooklyn! Join us for a turbine-building workshop 2-3 PM. Kids of all ages welcome. Available on a first-come, first-serve basis, register at the front desk.

WindScape Brooklyn introduces the public of all ages to the wonder of offshore wind. Located along Sunset Park’s working waterfront, visitors to the center will be provided an unprecedented birds-eye view of one of the largest offshore wind hubs in the US, the 73-acre South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, and an opportunity to explore interactive and immersive experiences. Visitors will have the opportunity to answer questions like: What is special about wind off the coast of New York and how is it playing a role as a future source of energy? Why are offshore wind turbine components so big, and how are environmental impacts mitigated? How does the power from offshore wind farms get distributed to homes and businesses?

Guided tours will be provided at 11AM and 12PM.
